Medication Disposal

Disposal of unwanted or out-of-date prescribed medicines: Please remove all personal labels from the packaging before bringing it to the pharmacy.

Prescriptions

NHS & private prescriptions can be transmitted electronically by your doctor's surgery directly to us via a safe, secure NHS intranet. This reduces the carbon footprint and improves the service. Please ask or email us if you wish to be registered for this service.

NHS - Pharmacy First

Get advice, treatment, and medication for minor illnesses directly from Heard Pharmacy, without seeing a GP.

Smoking Cessation

We can offer in-depth advice and guidance to any smoker who wishes to start a treatment programme, as we have several treatment options over a 12-week period, with no appointments required.

CPCS

The new Community Pharmacy Consultation Service (CPCS) is now running alongside the NHS Emergency 111 telephone service. The service operates by anyone contacting NHS 111 for advice or treatment, who is then redirected to our pharmacy. We will receive an electronic referral directly.

Minor Illnesses

We provide treatment advice on a range of common conditions and minor injuries, including acute and chronic skin conditions, pain management, musculoskeletal injuries, and seasonal treatments. Emergency hormonal contraception (EHC) is offered on a private consultation basis in our secure and private consulting room.

Flu Vaccinations

Seasonal flu vaccinations are available free of charge to eligible patients through NHS services, in line with NHS guidelines. We can offer private flu vaccination to patients aged 9 years and above who are not eligible under the annual NHS flu vaccination programme. Vaccination commences towards the end of September each year.

About us

You can be confident that our counter staff are properly trained using accredited courses, so they can advise you about treating common ailments. They may ask some simple questions so we can check that you get the most suitable advice or product. They might suggest you speak to the pharmacist before buying anything. We have a wide range of well-known pharmaceutical and non-pharmaceutical products that you can buy over the counter, from cold and flu remedies to perfumery and general household accessories.

Hitesh has 37 years of experience as a pharmacist and has been practising in Hendon for over 32 years. He can help with medical and pharmaceutical matters and provide more specific advice on the Kashrut aspects of all medicines, year-round and on Pesach.

Jaymini joined our pharmacy team in May 2020 as the new responsible pharmacist at H.C. Heard. Jaymini has attained a 1st class honours degree from the University of Hertfordshire and has several years of experience in community pharmacy.
